Deep Sky has announced plans to build one of the world’s largest carbon removal facilities in southwestern Manitoba, capable of removing up to 500,000 tonnes of CO₂ per year.

This $500 million project reinforces Canada’s growing role in the global carbon removal space. With strong geology, clean energy resources, and an innovation-friendly ecosystem, Manitoba is an exciting location for large-scale carbon removal.

We’re especially encouraged to see Deep Sky’s emphasis on community and Indigenous partnerships, including a Declaration of Relationship with the Dakota Nations of Manitoba.
