Canada Joins the EU as Co-Convener of the Global Methane Pledge

June 30, 2025

With Canada stepping up as co-convener of the Global Methane Pledge, there’s growing momentum to tackle one of the most potent greenhouse gases. At Viresco Solutions, we’re focused on making that ambition real, particularly in agriculture.

Our work on enteric methane spans:
-Supporting the development of new feed technologies to reduce ruminant emissions
-Designing Scope 3 programs that reward producers for implementing climate-smart practices
-Navigating the complex space of MRV (measurement, reporting, and verification) so mitigation efforts are credible and scalable

We know methane reductions in agriculture are technically feasible, economically smart, and essential to achieving global climate targets. But they won’t happen by accident—implementation, incentives, and integrity matter.

We’re excited to see Canada take a leadership role on the global stage, and we’re ready to keep driving progress where it counts: on farms, in supply chains, and in policy frameworks.
