Verra has issued the first Verified Carbon Units (VCUs) for a project using the Verified Carbon Standard (VCS) Methodology VM0042 for Improved Agricultural Land Management. This week, 64,645 VCUs were verified for the Involtor Future Agriculture East-Europe Project (Verra Project 3973), following its registration under Verra’s VCS Program. This achievement represents a significant milestone in advancing soil carbon projects as a scalable solution for climate action within the voluntary carbon market.
