Viresco Solutions is proud to have supported BASF Agricultural Solutions and Boortmalt as a technical design consultant for Europe’s first Verified Impact Units (VIUs) generated from on-farm greenhouse gas (GHG) reductions. Our collaboration with BASF on the Carbon Farming Program has been an exciting and rewarding part of Viresco’s client experience on our End-to-End Carbon Roadmapping process.

This project, part of BASF’s Global Carbon Farming Program, demonstrates the power of climate-smart agriculture and the ability of farmers to quantify and certify Scope 3 emission reductions through sustainable practices like cover cropping.

Key Outcomes:
✅2.3 t CO₂e per hectare in average emissions savings
✅Adapting Verra’s Improved Agricultural Land Management (VM0042) methodology
✅Independently validated & verified by SustainCERT

By enabling scope 3 emission reductions and connecting farmers with key stakeholders, this initiative creates real, measurable impact while generating new revenue streams for growers. We look forward to seeing how these innovations scale across other crops and regions!
